In two frameworks recently implemented under the new EU rules, about one third of the selected suppliers declared themselves smed. We believe that this is a positive indication that our tendering process facilitates the participation of SMEs. The new tender is now live for the new Office Furniture framework and suppliers can register their interest on the director`s portal. This framework is free to access. We support you throughout the process and serve as a link between you, the contracting authority and the contractor. North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium Limited (NWUPC) is a not-for-profit company owned by its higher education institutions. Its main objective is to «provide universities with a structure that can secure a good price for each other in terms of purchasing goods and services.» NWUPC is one of six regional university acquisition consortia in the UK and is made up of higher education institutions and associate members from training institutions and other public institutions. The NWUPC is responsible for the leasing of EU-compliant framework agreements. All agreements are leased following a call for tender and are tendered through EU procurement directives.
